Blu Lunar Wellness Educators/Consultants and Facilitators. Come from a wide variety of educational backgrounds, all with a passion to encourage positive change through education, evidence based workshops, listening, story telling and compassion.
Healthy sexuality is a fundamental, enriching aspect of being human. Being sexually healthy means being able to: Comfortably discuss your feelings and values. Initiate sex or say no to sex. Enjoy sexual expression, arousal and orgasm without fear, guilt or shame. Experts in the study of sexuality have identified several characteristics of healthy sexuality.
Blu Lunar wellness educators & facilitators specialise in conversations within ethnocultural, racialized and fringe groups. We also provide sexual wellness education to the general population who may not identify within the afore mentioned groups.
Due to the sensitivity of Sexual Wellness in all communities, the high level of stigma and shame associated with this topic. We take a TVIC (Trauma- and - Violence Informed Care) approach. With all of our workshops meeting participants where they are and gently sharing information, that will help to better inform their future decision making, along with reducing harm and clarifying common misinformation. When possible building comfort around sexual wellness and how it relates to them.
We take an interactive conversational approach, along with story telling, in a relaxed yet professional manner.
All workshops are tailored to the group, community, their needs, wants and concerns they want to address, no two workshops are the same. The root of all workshops is evidence based and the topic core the same, but presentation and style is specific to the group and participant comfortability lead.
“First, I want to emphasise that sex isn’t just intercourse or masturbation, It’s related to our overall wellness, the quality of our relationships, how we feel in our skin, how connected we are with our sexuality – it is related to our emotional, physical and relational well-being.” Erin Chen
